Who am I? I'm Jo, and I'm your go-to girl for concise, confident content about fitness, health and lifestyle.
Why do you need me? With almost 20 years’ professional experience writing about the wonderful world of wellbeing, I’ve honed my writing skills to perfection, relishing any opportunity to craft sparkling and insightful copy that inspires others to get active and be healthier.
What do I do? I work for print and digital media, PRs, brands, and industry professionals creating everything from investigative features, how-to guides and news rounds-ups to blog posts, reviews, and kit compilations.
What else can I offer? As a fully qualified Level 3 Personal Trainer, Gym Instructor, and Exercise to Music teacher, I’ve become a bit of a fitness expert myself, providing workouts and advice to various media outlets over the years while also writing two fitness books: Shape Up for Your Wedding and 4 Weeks to Skinny Jeans. Additionally, I have vast experience in coordinating and styling celebrity, workout, and fashion photo shoots.

My background? After studying Journalism, Film and Broadcasting at Cardiff University and landing a role as Editorial Assistant at Health & Fitness magazine, I worked my way up to Fitness Editor before going freelance. I have since written for many of the UK’s top publications, including The Sun, The Daily Mail, Fabulous, Women’s Fitness, Top Sante, Platinum, Waitrose Weekend, T3, and Healthy.
